Liverpool face somewhat of a bogey team in the form of Southampton on their return to Premier League action.

After scoring six against the Saints two years ago, Liverpool failed to beat the south coast club in the next five games with just two goals to their name during that run.

Southampton, though, are the definition of inconsistency this season holding a record of three wins, four draws and four defeats in their opening 11 games with just nine goals scored.

The Reds can win a third game in a row in the league for the first time in 12 months with three points on Saturday.

Start time

Liverpool host Southampton at Anfield with kick-off scheduled for 4pm on Saturday, November 18.

Team news

Jordan Henderson pulled out of the England squad but could feature at Anfield after being sidelined with a thigh injury.

Philippe Coutinho skipped Brazil's win over Japan but could come in to face England at Wembley despite missing Liverpool's last three games.

Elsewhere, Adam Lallana continues to near a first-team return, but Nathaniel Clyne is sidelined for the foreseeable.

Southampton are still missing Mario Lemina to an ankle injury, and Jeremy Pied, but otherwise have no fresh concerns.
