Comic actor and filmmaker, Bolaji Amusan aka Mr Latin, has said he has never thought of going into making social media skits because he is a mature comedian. The veteran emphasised that the reason for his decision is due to the fact that there are some things he has left for the younger generation and online skits is one of them.
“I have never thought of delving into Instagram skits because I am a mature comedian and I have been in the industry for many years. This is the time to give room to the younger comedians to explore their talent.
“I will advise upcoming comic actors to stay true to themselves and be original; they should not try to imitate anybody. One major improvement I want to see in the movie industry is for us to gear up to produce more cinematic movies so that our movies will be accepted internationally,” he said.
Amusan also shared some of the challenges he had to face when he started his career as an actor, stating that even his parents were never in support of his career from the beginning.
“I have had challenging moments because when I started my career, it was difficult for people to accept me. Even my parents were never in support of my choice of career but eventually after two years, they were proud of me when I started getting popular,” he said.
