Pls can nyone help me? I av dis guy dat I am so in love with, He assures me dat he loves me equally but I am not so sure about his feelings towards me. He is promising marriage which I will very much like & I av d spare key 2 his apartment, but my problems is dat he az refused 2 go know my place. I am so confused, don't know wot 2 make of his refusal 2 go 2 my place, now my mom insists on seeing d guy or I stop seeing d guy, plz guys wots 2 b done???

why will a guy dat said he wants to marry u refuse to go see ur ppl,if not for introduction atleast just to knw where u come frm.
my dear since he's refused to do that, no that he is not ready to marry u.. he just want to chop and go. even if u have all the bunches of keys in his houx.

How old are you,that your mom said u can't be seeing him if you don't show her the guy and how long have you two been going out? I hate it when some parents are too over protective of their children. Listen girl don't rush things...take your time to study him more before bring him home to show your parents...how about you show them now and things didn't work out later? And later on you bring another one,then another one to show your parents...they going to laught at you or they will think you still a kid and doesn't know how to choose a man... Then they will now plan of getting you a man of their choice...you don't want that or do you? Just take your time.

nice comment but personally i dont think its a matter of over protection by the mother rather a move to know where to look for her in case she goes missing

There're more to this situation than just what she highlighted up in here Hopea asked her some reasonable questions that demands answers too They're different ways of handling issues that has to do wth marital and premarital issues, and what if that guy is taking time to study her, not every guy who means well or intends marrying a lady wants to see her folks that sudden and why should the lady give him such ideas before he thinks it?, i thought the guy should be the one yearning to see the parents, thats after he's made up his mind in marrying
Some guys and i personally, dnt believe in visiting the parents unless i am ready for some introductions, i might make enquiries abt her and background wthout seeing the parents untill the time is right... What if eventually it dont work out, how will the parents feel?

how long hav u bin datin? it doesnt mean he is not serious cuz he's not ready to meet ur parents... maybe he is thinkin, d next step wud b meeting his own, and he is not ready for tht yet...maybe he still need some time before moving on to d next level
