There is a crime committed here, that is granted.
Student and her friends committed a crime-as per video content-
The professor -if investigation shows otherwise-may have also committed a crime. Too bad the girls video did not tell us that the man asked for sex, had at one time had sex with her and that she was wrongfully given a failing grade.

Someday said its in the body polity of the Nigerian social fabrics....that OBJ himself slept with female ministers...that 80% of Nigerian profs. do it.........THE BIG QUESTION then is, does all these make it RIGHT? Absolutely NOT

Think about the girl who is graduating with a 3rd class instead of a 2.1.........think about the girl who could not graduate
How about the married Christian girl who had to sleep with a prof against her religious stance.......the list of pain and sorrows caused by such unethical behavior by those in power is endless. I mean the girl is placed in an irrefutable dilemma.  One last one, think about it, if that girl was your own pregnant wife......I mean your beautiful undergraduate wife being asked for sex or she graduates with a 3rd class instead of a 2.1 that you both had worked hard for.....It all just makes me sick to the stomach.

here is my 2 cent, the man deserved what happened, but still it is wrong to carry out such an act. As we can see, there are 2 things involved in the saga, firstly the exposure, and secondly, the money aspect.

Exposing the man of his wrong doings to students by making the video innocently and standing the just cause of the main objective which is to expose him and nothing more. when in the act of exposure, u demand money, double checks, car keys, thats purely another level and its an hostage/robbery and not just an act of exposing the stupid man but also jobbing him. though the man is so foolish to go to a student's residence but still if the man can face reality, get back up from losing his job first, coz he already did, and be bold enough to press charges, i believe the man will win the case, coz he was obviously robbed, in the name of exposure, and by the look of things and by what were said, they were surely after the money, like an earlier poster said, its a blackmail.  The university authorities may also press charges against the dude, but it isn't just right. The girl and the boys aren't wise either, if u need the money, why make that alongside the video, by so doing, they incriminate themselves and the man can press charges for robbery and blackmail, claiming innocence of the whole saga. anyway, anyhow dem want am, notin do me.

hey now listen,i know women are suffering daily from social and segxwal maltreatment which is not suppose to be,what the man did is absolutely wrong,he has insulted his profession and his family name,which is bad.the girl on the order hand OMG i dont think she looks like a student,studying mechanical eng i dont think so,her being in 400L,common u knw students when u see them this EDO GIRL is a slut obviously,and a think cant u see it its not about him trying to have sex with her is about robbing him money,demanding five hundred thousand naira and he gave her hundred thousand,and those idiots around are asking for their own cheque common people,both the two are a disgrace anyway that my opinion

hey! lets not be in a hurry to judge a book by it's cover...slow down.

In 1998 I had a roommate-in Ife- who looked and talked like a street motor boy, but he was one of the best medical student back then, so go figure.

While you may be right, its unsavory to unequivocally take a position as harsh as the one you had taken.


Its shocking to admit that, there are some Nigerian undergraduates who are incapable of completing a proper sentence. But hey, its the system.

Even on here-in this forum-you see it every now and then. You wonder whats really wrong with these posters......sometimes I think its a joke, but hey, its for real.
