The stories that I have been hearing about how the secrets contained in these diaries are destroying relationships are becoming rampant.  So why do people keep diaries? Is it advisable to keep a tab on the happenings in one's life, especially when such information could be so damning and the other party may not understand?  If you find an unpalatable piece of information in your partner's diary, would you believe the explanation given to defend such information?  Would you allow any ugly incident as written in your partner's diary destroy your relationship?............

Oya, lets go there!

Na you know

What a senseless post

I am waiting for that you own post that has sense............This thing is tearing marriages apart and u sit down there and call this senseless......must you comment?............ Huh?

I think d dairy the porter was talking about still contained what was happening in her life at present so it was implicating to her,i think had it been things she wrote that was in the past,it wouldn't have been a problem. There's nothing wrong with keeping a dairy but some are better kept in the heart just as Onyiis said

Personal Choice

Diaries Help yu know/remember where yu're Coming from and Guide yur Steps, and they're fun 2 read too once in a While

Personal Choice girl

If yu're Confident in who yu've become, then people reading it won't bother yu

diaries are worth it takes u back to moments and helps u realize the present as the past is never what it seems. but to avoid scandals one has to use code when writing some incidents/thoughts.

I'm too busy to keep a diary. And I don't want anyone seeing my shit lolol
So personally, I don't think it's advisable.

You could make notes regarding time/date/place of birth of ur baby, when u were engaged and all that...But if it's important to u then something like that shouldn't skip ur memory....unless of cos maybe one day u might lose ur memory or something.

MEhn, i dno...each to their own.

Diaries are personal, what is my partner doing looking through my diary? If there's something there that affects him he got what he deserves. Besides secrets always have a way of coming out, i hope i have enough material to actually publish mine before i die.

Hmmm...keeping Diaries are a good idea in my opinion because it allows reflection, expression and release of pent up emotions you may not want to share with people. The question that should be asked here is why are these partners poke-nosing in other people's diary?? That is an intrusion of privacy so whatver they read is their own fault. This however does not mean that I am in support of the antics these cheating partners are up to...

If you know soemthing is wrong, why do it and then write about it...it is your own fault if your relationship breaks down. It is like being aware that fire burns, yet you stand there with your finger over that gas ring...STUPID!

Also, if you go about not trusting your partner and you read what you don't want to read, abeg! Who sent you???

I am the kind of person who when I find out I am not trusted, I will do soemthing to make sure that their STUPID MISTRUST is validated...

I will write something extremely stupid and watch the reaction...haha

But at the end of the day, if we are following God's rules...none of the above should be a problem no?!...

Well for us psychologists out here, what can be more entertaining than stumbling across profiling data of a humanoid? What beats it? The insecurities and aspirations for ones consumption; wow!
