A former attorney-general and commissioner for justice in Kano state, Aliyu Umar, has died -

Umar died in the early hours of Friday at about 4am after a brief illness - The former attorney-general has since been buried according to Islamic rites.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, another tragedy hit Kano state on Friday, April 17, as the state's former attorney-general and commissioner for justice, Aliyu Umar (SAN) died. According to The Nation, Umar died in the early hours of Friday at about 4am after a brief illness.

The newspaper reports that the former attorney-general has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
