A child is not a disease. how did he deal with the situation, why is he not with his child mother, does he support them, how does he relate with them... I'd be more concerned with things like that

The mother of the child is also a human being and a woman like yourself.

They have child/children together, they both need to be involved in the raising of that child/children.

It may be an impossible request for you so long as the mother of the child/children is alive.

To me that is not an issue. The girl am dating right now has two kids but am just waiting for my parents to give their consent and i will make her my wife
