President Muhammadu Buhari administration has set up a team to address hunger and malnutrition in Nigeria.

The presidency, in a statement on Thursday by Laolu Akande, announced the inauguration of an ad-hoc Technical Advisory Group to support the implementation of the 5-year National Multi-Sectoral Plan of Action on Nutrition (NMPAN).

It said Vice President Yemi Osinbajo constituted the group earlier in the week when he called a virtual meeting of the National Committee on Food and Nutrition.

Osinbajo said the body “will provide high-level strategic advice and support to the Secretariat of the National Council on Nutrition on the National Policy on Food and Nutrition vision and strategy, thereby facilitating nutrition positioning and comparative advantage to enable maximum impact.“

The mandate of the committee includes provision of technical assistance to the NCN and Secretariat; facilitation of inter and intra-agency coordination, supervision and monitoring, and implementation of the NMPAN.

Sir, you don’t need a committee. All you need is to create jobs and when people have jobs hunger will go away.

Buhari and people around him are brainless, you dont need commitee to fight hunger, first reduce the price of petrol, electricity and remove all this unecessary taxation that is going to private pockets that the government is not using for the benefit of Nigerians, the poverty rate will reduce drastically, then start creating jobs
