What did you expect? Of course, the economy will be grounded because criminal politicians / government officials stash billions of dollars in foreign banks, and whatever is left is used in funding bandits, goons, and terrorists in place of developing the lives of poor people. You guys don't fool anyone. It's all about corruption, you don't get anymore Nigerian than that since the reintroduction of democracy. The definition of democracy in the Nigerian context is, steal as much as you can today, because tomorrow might not come. It's a shame. You have enough deposit of crude oil beneath your feet, you have 4 giant refineries, 1 in Kaduna, 1 in Warri, Port Harcourt alone has 2 refineries. You shamelessly export your oil to a country like Niger republic to refine for you with a highly inflated cost which of course you jointly manipulate with agents. You pay demurrage for the exportation of your crude, so much so for the importation of the refined products. They do whatever they want with your oil, send back whatever they have refined to you to sell to innocent Nigerians at exorbitant price. Local and multinational corporations engage in tax invasion because your government gave them the wherewithal to do it. Your domestic production capacity is off scale because you lack energy to boost production. Your currency is at its worse in the international market, no valuation let alone devaluation. You have so much money in circulation both genuine and fake which is the worse that can happen to any economy. Massive corruption in every area of leadership, yet you dream of a strong economy. How unfortunate!
