Despite his efforts, Strickland couldn’t quite find the decisive knockout punch, and Adesanya managed to survive until the end of the round.
As the fight progressed, Strickland consistently appeared to be one step ahead of Israel Adesanya, who graciously congratulated his emotional opponent once the outcome was confirmed.
In his remarkable victory, Strickland secured unanimous scorecards of 49-46 against Adesanya, winning the UFC middleweight title.
