Although neither of us won the competition, I continued to bet with iLOTBet. I had no issues with deposits and withdrawals until August of this year.
The problem arose when I received an alert from iLOTBet regarding a withdrawal that I did not make. Concerned, I logged into my account and found that my balance was still intact. Unsure of what to do, I decided to keep the money. Two days later, my colleague approached me and asked if I had received any payment from iLOTBet. I could have denied it, but I chose to be honest and admitted that I had. He then informed me that the payment was the withdrawal he had made from his iLOTBet account, which had somehow ended up in my bank account. Initially, I found it hard to believe him, but he showed me the withdrawal request on his account transfers as well as the emails he had sent to iLOTBet when he didn't receive the withdrawal. The replies from iLOTBet confirmed that they had indeed made the payment. To resolve the issue, iLOTBet demanded that he provide his bank statement, as he insisted that he had not received the alert. After investigating their system, they discovered that the money had mistakenly landed in my account, despite the fact that my colleague and I have different names, he had made multiple withdrawals in the past, and his bank was Gtbank while mine was UBA. How could such a mix-up occur?
The next day, I attempted to make a withdrawal request, but it was reverted back to my iLOTBet account. After several unsuccessful attempts, I contacted iLOTBet to explain the situation and how someone else's withdrawal had ended up in my account. They responded by stating that my account was linked to another account and that I had two accounts. Eventually, they allowed me to withdraw the money that was in my account, amounting to N66,741. However, nothing happened to my colleague's account, and he decided to close it himself after withdrawing all his funds.
