Adamawa Police Recover Stolen Lexus SUV, Arrest Two Suspects, Saidu Mohammed & Rabiu Idris

The Adamawa State Police Command has announced the successful recovery of a stolen Lexus SUV RX 330, which was originally taken from Awka, Anambra State. In connection with the theft, two suspects have been apprehended.

According to a press release from the command, the incident began on April 12, 2024, when armed robbers attacked Daiso Kyrian in Awka, shot him, and stole his Lexus SUV. Kyrian reported the crime to the police on May 20, 2024.

The press release, signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer Suleiman Nguroje, detailed the subsequent investigation. "Upon receiving the report, a thorough investigation was carried out by the Command’s surveillance team. Luckily, one Saidu Mohammed, aged 30, of Gombi LGA, was arrested in possession of the said vehicle."

Further investigation led to the arrest of another suspect, 25-year-old Rabiu Idris, also from Gombi LGA. Both suspects are now in custody and are assisting the police with their inquiries.

The Adamawa State Police Command commended the efforts of their surveillance team and emphasized their commitment to tackling crime and ensuring the safety of residents.
