•Analysis: Couples who argue so much and want everything to follow a particular pattern, easily have problems. Life is easy, try and overlook some things for peace to reign. Marriage is not the right place for you to prove how intelligent you are.
•Wrong choice of words: If you can watch and control your tongue, a whole deal of your problems would be gone. Dishing sarcastic comments is not healthy for the relationship and studies have shown that even after apologies, the wounds refuse to heal completely.
•Infidelity: Please try as much as practicable not to give your spouse any cause to doubt your love for him/her. Just the way you promised at the beginning of the marriage, keep to one partner and derive pleasure in each other.
•Care: Care makes it easy for you to love, give, respect, support, encourage and do a lot more than
There is this old saying of a woman who went to an elderly man to complain that her husband beat her every time. The elderly man sensed that the cause of her beating was her words. The old man told her to wait for him to get her a medicine that will stop the beating. The old man gave her a cowry and told her to put the cowry in her mouth immediately an argument is about to start. He told her she must not say a word once the cowry is in her mouth because if the cowry falls then she will get more beating that she may loose her life. She followed the old man's word to the letter and there was no more beating that even the husband was shocked that his wife becomes very quiet when there is an argument. He called his wife one day and asked what the secret was and she opened up to the husband. Both of them went to the old man and he told them that there was nothing to the cowry. She stopped using the cowry and realised that her bad mouth was the cause of her beating. As a marriage counselor i have always let couples know about the following facts if they are to sustain theier relationship in marriage. 1. Marriage is a work: Both couples are to determine to work as a team in marriage.Marriage is not for one person alone and when it become one sided there will be a broken relationship,remember " two are better than one" and a"wise woman builded her home but the foolish destroys it with her own hand. 2.Interferrance of extended family can as well cause a broken relationship among couples" Remember a man shall leave his father and mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall become one" that is one in purpose and everything. 3.When couples are rigid holding on to there moral principles and not letting go certaining issues it can cause broken relationship. | Posted: at 2-03-2011 09:06 AM (14 years ago) | Newbie | |
