A Nigerian national has been detained in Libya for allegedly possessing sorcery paraphernalia, according to a statement from Migrant Rescue Watch on Saturday, January 11, 2025. 

The individual, identified as "M.A.," was arrested by the Tamsan Police Department in the Barqan Al-Shati region of Libya. Authorities confirmed that the case has been handed over to the public prosecution for further legal proceedings. 

"M.A." is said to have been found in possession of items typically associated with sorcery, though no further details regarding the nature of the paraphernalia were provided.
