Man threatens to kill mother over N1,500

WHY would a 33-yr-old man threaten to kill his mother for allegedly failing to help him raise a financial lifeline of mere N1,500?
That is the riddle that an Ado Ekiti Chief Magistrate’s court is currently trying to solve in the prosecution of a shoemaker, Oladapo Adegu.

Adegu has been arraigned before the court for allegedly threatening to kill his mother, Mrs. Adenike Adegun, over her refusal to give him the sum.
Oladapo was said to have threatened to kill his mother with a kitchen knife over her inability to give him the money for the repair of a shoe-making equipment belonging to him.
The Police prosecutor, Corporal Ewuola Ebenezer, told the court that the incident happened on April 11, 2011 at Omisanjana Street, Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
The charge sheet read:
“That you Oladapo Adegun on April 11, 2011 at about 10a.m., at Omisanjana Street, Ado-Ekiti in the Ado-Ekiti Magisterial district did threaten the life of your mother, Mrs. Adenike Adegun, that you would kill her if she failed to give you money being demanded from her.
“This offence is punishable under section 86(1) of Criminal Code, cap 30, volume 2, laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, as applicable to Ekiti State”
The accused had no lawyer to represent him in court but pleaded not guilty to the allegation.
The Magistrate, Mr. B. Owoeye, granted the accused bail in the sum of N, 10,000.00 and a surety who resides in the Ado-Ekiti magisterial district. The case was adjourned till May 24, 2011.

abeg i no fit laugh... the stupid guy that's threatening his own mother to raise just 1,500 is now been asked by the court to be bailed with 10,000 naira.  where is he gonna get that one from? lol

dem wan kill themselves to raise just 1500 now u want dem to bring 10,000 for bail. that means he 'll have to wipe out the whole family if they no fit raise am that kind money.........lol..
