Please mind your words and comments... and DO NOT dishonor her memory. It is easy for you all to come up with all your smart comments and analysis of her life and issues... but where were u when she was going through the trauma and needed a shoulder to cry on or professional help???

We all failed her as friends, acquaintances and family, she never should have given up the hope to live (man or not)! We owe it to ourselves to reach out  and look out for one another. That is what life is all about at the end of the day... LOVE.

Rather than make this another gist mongering and gossip session, let it be a learning point for us... that it doesn't repeat itself. No one deserves to live without hope or die in such a manner. Start today… Reach out and be your brother’s keeper. SELAH!

The girl lacked maturity even @her age i can't even imagine the disgrace she has brought to her parents;at least hell has gotten yet another candidate..........now,this is a lesson to all girls human being is dynamic....always bear in mind that he can change @anytime...faithfulness is only restricted to the married so don't get mad over some relationship. OK?

First of all, I actually know the decaesed and she did not end her life bcos of a man as is being reported. she suffered from acute depression and a break up with her Bf amongst other things added to her depression. she had alot going for her and was always a bubbly extroverted girl, full of life. she went to jand last year for her masters and started feeling very low and depressed alot but no one thot it to be anything serious. she later defferred and moved back to naija. on her return she cut off from her friends, deleted almost all her bb contacts and would not return anyones calls, she hardly left her house and just felt detached and abandoned. she craved attention but no one had her time really. most of her best friends are scattered round the globe and the few here had issues of their own. she lived with her sister and soon later started giving her attitude which caused a rift between them. she didnt want people knowing she was back in the country and kept to herself. Nobody thot anything of it.

On saturday she said she was going to a friend's house and instead locked herself in her room and hung herself. her body was only discovered yesterday Monday. Funny how people center on one aspect of ur life and focus on it. while the break up obviously added to her depression, it was not the sole cause of her suicide. she had family problems, had an operation to remove a cyst and was just generally disturbed by alot of things. she was to start a new job with MTN yesterday monday and her father had recently bought her a new car.
i do not like to speak ill of the dead or judge anyone. Its between her and her maker now. But people please understand that depression is a silent killer and very real in our society. here we dont have the tools to treat it so its often overlooked but the truth is alot of people are walking around feeling depressed. it not just about having a bad day, or a bad week; depression is a mental illness and we dont have therapists or drugs here for it. Its not only Oyinbos that suffer from it. and there are signs. People can have everything in the world and still be unhappy, still feel sad. Being someone who has been depressed b4 i know how she must have felt and the only way we can deal with it here is to verbalize. Talk to someone, reach out... bcos keeping it all in is what drives people insane.
I guess she got to the level where she felt no one cared and no one would even notice if she were gone. I mean she was dead for 2 days before she was even found. I feel suicide is a selfish act and an easy way out of life. People suffering from depression should be monitored and always around positive energy cos if not, u are silently killing yourself and its only a matter of time before they start thinking of evil, that why some people have to be kept on suicide watch becos they are a danger to themselves and they have reached the stage of not giving a f**k about anything or anyone.
So please people, get the facts right and everyone is entitled to their own opinion but i implore you never to speak ill of the dead or judge. We will all die one day and the question is what will people say about you when you are not there to defend yourself?
