You used to post intelligent comments but this your comment is not right. You don't need to be in your country to make your voice heard if you know what channels to follow. The demonstration was held in front of Nigerian High Commision which represents the government of Nigeria in UK.

tell him!

I STAND TO BE CORRECTED!

I think people are overreacting to this issue of fuel subsidy removal. It is not all that bad, but almost everybody have tagged it "a bad move" simply because of lack of awareness and its timing. The questions we should ask now are; with the corruption in this country, will the money to be realised from the removal of fuel subsidy be used for what they said it will be used for? Why should it be this time of the year? Why not do it in a gradual way? And since we are not under dictatorship, why not have an agreement with the led (Nigerians) before imposing the policy on us? These are some of the questions we need to ask rather than condemning it in totality.

May God help us.

I think they have every single right to overreact.Though i agree that subsidy removal isn't a bad idea at all, but this is just a wrong decision in a wrong time.A country that could not even boost 'practically' of anything, majority of it citizens(roughly 90%) are living just below $2 per day.how do u expect them to cope with this calamity? The question should be..do they(the so-called leaders) have a concrete foundation and frame work? i don't think so(smh vigorously)...bro this recycling leaders have zero vote of confidence, lacks transparency and integrity.and will be very difficult for them to convince the masses even if they have good intentions cause they have failed to deliver with the one at hand and so cannot be trusted period!!!

How long will Nigeria continue to clap with one hand, an impossibility. Every weight is on the black gold(crude oil),  where is the subsidy on groundnut pyramids and cocoa? Thank God a Niger-Deltan is the president to supervise the evils meted on the oil by the past Nigerian leaders. Why are they in Uk? some of them got sponsored to Uk by the corruption of fuel subsidy. We do not need their protest over there, they should represent Nigeria well there, and try to bring good things to the country, not remaining there and having no positive impact on the nation. God bless GEJ.
