For years we have been fighting corruption, but shouldn't we consider a smarter way to target corruption? But something feeds corruption. There is a system that feeds corruption. What if we starve corruption? What if we remove the system that feeds corruption? That is the whole idea of deregulation. Smuggling, fraud, and wastage are inherent in the regulation of the petroleum industry. These are the meals that corruption feeds on. Remove them and corruption is starved to death. This is the reason why we must deregulate and get value in the down stream sector of our petroleum industry. Government needs to get out of the petroleum industry and the private sector has to step in. OND

No doubt corruption is not  new  and inherent but let GEJ stop the act of corruption from himself by laying a good example. He should have a dialogue with people civil groups.
