I think some people that post comments on this blog are wicked and heartless, you are in your room...typing useless comment and calling someone trying to do his job a fool....it is understanding that he was not properly trained to have done this.....but atleast he tried but just unlucky. what can you do? stay in your bloody room and insult people staying up in the night to protect us........wen re we going to change in ths country?

I pity the family of the police officer. I will continue to say it... Nigerian Police is a mess. The only thing they are well trained is how to  force extort #20.00 &#50.00 from people. In Abia state, you will see more than 20 police/military extorting points. They even make change for bus drivers. The shamelessness in Nigerian Police and Nigerian government is too much. I think, now other people should learn not to do what they're not trained to do.

R.I.P BT i think he wasnt a boob squad he just a police who is trying to show bravery by playin wit his life, he wasnt dressed as a boom ditonator he did everthing wrong they should first sealed down the whole area and fire some shot on the bin bt they didnt they were all plain stupid and esp the dead police man sorry to say he search bin wit bear hands no cordination this is really bad. wrong just got dead due to poor trying and little mistakes.

this guy must be an idiot. who goes to a suspicious package at a bombsite with a metal dectator not even the Americans. They use robots to check for IED. He just wasted his life for noting for a useless country. how can you approach a bomb just like that dont they see pther countries or even watch movies.
