I only refer you to the principle of micro-economics. Non interest banking was only named islamic banking because that kinda banking started among the muslim nations. It is a form of banking whereby what you save in is what you get back,no interest is charged on anything unlike the common commercial bankings we have around. Islamic bankin is also practiced in the UK and america so nigeria won't be the first to practice it. There's only controversy about "islamic banking" in nigeria due to the recent religion crises in your country. The banking system is not aimed at religious propagation,it is just a simple form of bankin system "non interest banking"
