I wonder what state is the marriage law in Nigeria. Seems like stone age. Whether agree or not as soon as a party has applied for a divorce , the divorce is determined within six months and if there are children within the union that is when there is custody hearing to see the financial capacity and responsibilities of the couples.  Usually in Europe it is just to collect and fill in the form and in two weeks you get a reply from the court that the divorce had been determined without ant lawyer, hearing or any argument.
