Chasing a rat while your whole house is on fire
If you ignore the most important things that need attention; that need to be protested against and focus on less important private affairs, you miss the target. Go back to your reader corner and expand your mental coast, if you suffer boredom take a work or hang out! and stop destructing public order in the name of (unwarranted) protest!

They should be protesting against their unfaithful husbands, not against the indecent dressing amongst female undergrads. It is the men that choose to be lured by undergrad girl !!!! They are just lustful, immature men that cannot keep their trouser zippers closed around young girl..nonsense  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I have worked at owerri before, its a beautiful city with very lovely people. My memory of the city and her people is making me to struggle in between perceived morality and human rights. On this occasion I had stick to upholding human rights of the girls or anyone to freely express themselves in any form including fashion. I hope the Federal University of Technology Owerri Women Association, FUTOWA will respect the human rights of the girls the have campaigned against.

On a another thought, I think the Federal University of Technology Owerri Women Association, FUTOWA should recover from the reality of cultural shock the federal university has brought given the fact that it is a new federal university that was originally a Imo state government owned Tertiary institution.

Well said Bro, it is very surprising that a well educated group (Federal University of Technology Owerri Women Association, FUTOWA) like that is trivialising the essence of group campaigns and rallies.

Human rights come with human duty. The duty not to corrupt others or engage in conduct that brings the university into disrepute.

what is more disgusting however, is the rotten english used by some pals to make comments here. can the moderators please do their job by sanctioning poor grammar, silly spellings like GUUD instead of GOOD, possibly ensure that all posts are in proper english. i don't see why pidgin english nor slangs should be allowed here. what we should realise is that this is the internet space, where anyone from any part of the world  can access any web site. seriously, is this the sort of impression we'd want to make on those people? would they respect us? everyone of us owe Nigeria and Nigerians a duty to make our country a better place for all. exposing poor english language skills is counter productive.

I know how you feel. Weird, incomprehensible English seems to be all too common here, and worse still, the perpetrators of such seem to be proud of their efforts, no matter how badly spelled or poorly expressed their messages are.

Why not use proper English all the time? There is no reason or excuse for lowering standards when posting on public forums.
