25  Forum / Health / Quantum Healing: Unlocking Your Highest Potential To Become The Best Version Of Yourself on: 9-08-2019 11:29 AM

Nothing is more important to any human than their health and overall well-being, which means physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. However, there are so many factors in the environments we live in that come to interfere with this wellness. From physical impact to stress, infection with disease agents and other substances that affect the normal functioning of the body, your overall well-being is always at risk of being breached. But thanks to the brilliant minds amongst us humans, there are always ways to restore the human body back to its proper functioning, which is the sheer definition of ‘healthy’.

Forget the modern and conventional ways of treatment though. Did you know that healing is not all about taking medicine after falling sick? If at least you have a clue, there’s a high chance that you’ve heard about alternative medicine and traditional treatment approaches such as Ayurveda, tai chi, meditation, reflexology, and the like! At some point in your life, you’ve probably also heard quantum healing being mentioned somewhere. Dolores Cannon, the person behind the development of the quantum healing hypnosis technique (QHHT), says that quantum healing is all about accessing that higher power hidden within us, and using it to trigger self-healing of our mind and body. It could be used to relieve physical pain, mental trauma, and even emotional pain by rebalancing our “Sub Conscious” selves.
This article seeks to define and describe quantum healing and shed more light on how it can be used to unlock your “higher power” for you to become a better version of yourself. Starting with its mere definition, let’s get the ball rolling.

What is Quantum Healing?
Also known as quantum energy healing, quantum healing is a treatment approach that utilizes the natural energy found in the human body to restore balance and bring optimal wellness, or healing. It makes use of the body’s life force or energy, which, according to quantum physics; is the energy that sustains life in all living organisms. This energy has several names, including Chi (Chinese), Prana (Sanskrit). However, it is not to be confused with other traditional healing techniques such as tai chi, Ayurveda, reflexology, and reiki, and acupuncture, even though it can be combined with these to achieve overall wellness as will be revealed later in this article.

The Origin of Quantum Healing
As a term, Quantum Healing was introduced to the world in 1989 by Deepak Chopra, a popular American author, and advocate of alternative medicine who was born in India. This was through his book titled, Quantum Healing, in which he tried to explain some types of dramatic and sudden healing conventional medicine would barely explain. Even though Deepak later received a considerable amount of criticism from scholars and research scientists about popularizing an ideology that had less facts and scientific proofs, his arguments would come to be true a few years later when dozens of other researchers did scientific experiments that supported his theory.

A Look at How Disease Occurs
Without getting deep into linguistics, the word disease simply refers to the lack of ease (dis-ease) in the body, mind, (or spirit). It may be a bit difficult to decipher in a layman’s language, but the disease actually starts from the cellular level. But our bodies are made up of matter (which is physical), and energy (non-physical). The latter may be chemical energy or life force, which is basically what keeps us alive. We are healthy and well when this energy is flowing unobstructed throughout the various parts of the body.

However, factors such as painful events in life, toxins, pollutants, and anything else that may make you feel uncomfortable may disrupt this natural state and flow of energy through the body, leading to resistance, which in turn renders the body unhealthy. This is because, without a proper balance, the equilibrium between the conversion of matter into energy and energy into matter (which is a major function of cells) is broken. Quantum energy (energy within the self) can help restore this equilibrium, leading to mind-body healing.

The Quantum Healing Principle
Our bodies have the inherent ability to heal themselves and cellular healing is all about promoting energy flow equilibrium through thought, to achieve an energy balance in the mind, body, and spirit. When bombarded with negative energy from chemical pollutants, toxins, antigens from disease agents, or stress hormones, cells become reactive or overactive, sometimes with the help of the immune system. This results in the excess accumulation of energy between cells, which is unable to flow fast enough through to other cells or areas of the body. This energy or life force becomes “stuck” in the affected areas and the cells in question becomes “blocked”, resulting in the manifestation of symptoms such as stiffness, pain, irritation, and mucus blockage, among others. Healing occurs only when this energy is able to flow freely, which can be achieved using the following quantum healing techniques.

Techniques Used In Quantum Healing

There’s a wide variety of techniques used in quantum healing. Quantum touch, for instance, is a technique that triggers natural healing using vibration therapy, the sense of touch, body awareness meditation, and breath. While at it, quantum touch therapy also improves bone health through vibration therapy.

In addition to this, quantum energy healing can also be combined with other forms of alternative healing as hinted out earlier. Some of these may include chiropractic techniques, acupuncture, yoga, reflexology, qigong, osteopathy, Craniosacral therapy, the Japanese Reiki, and physical therapy, among others. Expert practitioners in many fields of alternative medicine have discovered tremendous improvements in their patients and even complete healing when quantum healing techniques are used in combination with other treatment approaches.

In summary, it is safe to conclude at this point, that healing is in your body. The energy that is within you; that which sustains life in all living things can work magic to restore your mind, body and soul balance, bringing it back into its natural state. Quantum healing can help you to become the best version of yourself!

Quote
I was born relatively poor. My father died while I was barely 13, and I was left with a mother who had no education but knew the value of it. I wrote WAEC papers three times, 1976,1977 and 1978, before I made enough credits to qualify for university admission. I wasted no time blaming others for my problems; instead I spent time preparing for an onslaught against demonic poverty. I've never been in direct government employment. I don't do contracts in this and that... I know only media and try hard to be the best in what I do and pray to God to answer your prayers and bless you too...

33  Forum / Politics / Ex-President Of US, Ronald Reagan Calls African Delegates To UN, "Monkeys" In A Newly Exhumed Audio on: 31-07-2019 04:50 PM

Former US President Ronald Reagan in a 1971 telephone call with then-President Richard Nixon described African delegates to the United Nations (UN) as "monkeys". Mr Reagan was the Governor of California at the time he made the comment in the newly unearthed tapes. He was reportedly angry that African delegates at the UN took sides against the US in a vote to recognise China's sovereignty over that of Taiwan.  The Tanzanian delegation began dancing in celebration of the vote.

“Last night, I tell you, to watch that thing on television as I did,” Reagan said. “Yeah,” Nixon interjected. Reagan forged ahead with his complaint: “To see those, those monkeys from those African countries—damn them, they’re still uncomfortable wearing shoes!”

Nixon gave a huge laugh. The aftermath of the vote also had President Nixon telling his deputy national security adviser Al Haig, to cancel any future meeting with any African leader that sided against the U.S. on Taiwan even if they had already been scheduled. “Don’t even submit to me the problem that it’s difficult to turn it off since we have already accepted it,” Nixon exclaimed. “Just turn it off, on the ground that I will be out of town.” The recording published in The Atlantic was unearthed by Tim Naftali who is a clinical associate professor of history at New York University and Director of Nixon Presidential Library from 2007 until 2011.

Mr Reagan served as US president from 1981-1989 and is also remembered for publicly defending the apartheid states of Rhodesia and South Africa in the 1970s.  He died in 2004 aged 93 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

The unearthed audio came weeks after President Donald Trump attacked four progressive Democratic congresswomen of color using racist language, implying they weren't American and suggesting they "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

Here is a complete beginner's guide to sports betting.
The building blocks of sports betting.  Once you have decided that sports betting is the go-to choice for you, then these quick steps will help you get started.

#1. Learning the mechanics.
It does not matter what form of sports you are going to wager; the result is that you need to learn the mechanics to get the grasp of betting. There are three elements which make up a sports bet;
Selection.
The selection refers to what you are choosing to win the competition. For instance, you can bet on the English Premier League. Then you need to select the team which you think will win the title — for example a match between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Stake.
Stake refers to how much you are going bet. For instance, you are betting $50 on a football game; then the stake is $50. Some punters bet high stakes. This refers to an individual who bets large sums of money.

Odds.
Newbies can get confused with the term odds. It refers to the probability of something happening. For instance, in Superbowl game, a bookmarker can have the Steelers 2 to 10 underdog against the New England Patriots. These means that if the Steelers were to play their opponents ten times, they would only win twice. But if the Steelers win you make a  lot of profit.

#2. How to place a bet.
If you understand the mechanics of sports betting, then placing a bet is quite easy. You are only required to make a selection, identify the odds, and choose a stake. However, you need also to learn the different ways you can place a bet.  They include;
            Telephone betting services
            Casino betting.
            Betting shops.
            Online sportsbooks.

#3. Learn the types of bets.

Before you place a bet, you should familiarize yourself with the various markets available. Some of the standard wagers that beginners should understand include;
Moneylines or win bets.

They require you to select the winner of the competition.

Totals(Over/Under)

This type of bet a sportsbook will give you the total points expected in a match. You then choose if the outcome will be over or under those points.

Points spread

A sportsbook will assign the favored team a certain number of points. You need o select if the team scores over or under those points given by the sportsbook.
36  Forum / Politics / Kwara State Lawmakers Deny Claims Of Assault On Tenant In Ilorin on: 29-07-2019 02:46 PM

The internet was hit on Saturday, 27th of July and the story centered on a scenario reportedly enacted on the 17th of July , 2019 at the Tanke area of Ilorin , the Kwara state capital.

Different versions of what transpired have been promoted on social media with accusations and counter-accusations flying from one end to another.

This medium gathered that a serving member of the Kwara state House of Assembly, Hon. Ganiyu Abolarin from Ekiti constituency who owns a building in Tanke area, was on the fateful day accompanied to the place by a colleague lawmaker, Hon. Razaq Owolabi, following prior complaints from some of the residents and co-tenants.

The said residents, we learned , had called the attention of the lawmaker to a development and requested that what they allegedly considered questionable activities of a tenant, Saheed Ogundokun, should be investigated.

A source told our correspondent, that what was previously promoted on social media was a jaundiced account. ‘What happened was that unusual activities were noticed and as expected some people in the area informed the landlord. It was alleged that apart from unmarked vehicles that had been coming to drop the tenant in several instances, moaning noises are usually heard from his apartment by neighbours and judging by the tone and the rhythm, it was suggestive of possible homo segxwal practices.

The landlord asked the neighbours to inform him once they notice that the guys are around. And on the 17th of July, sequel to being notified, Ganiyu who is a member of the state house of assembly instructed his younger brother to run post hastily to the place with the mandate to ensure the occupants of the apartment allow him access, demand for years of tenancy rent unpaid, over N200,000 accumulated electricity bill and confirm if truly they were involved in social oddities.

Surprisingly, they refused to open the door and denied him access a development that prompted the lawmaker to proceed to Tanke in company of a colleague, Hon. Razaq Owolabi. On getting there , the two lawmakers knocked at the door several times and yet there was no response , they consequently got in touch with police officers at the F Division of the Nigeria police, Tanke.

Three policemen were sent from the Area F police station, Tanke, who eventually on arrival forced them to open the door and four hefty looking guys were met at the apartment. Though nothing incriminating was found there aside an unmarked Toyota Camry car, the presence of the four men together there raised questions and pointed to earlier suspicions.

Even though, the man at the centre of the hullabaloo, Saheed Ogundokun, had resisted arrest by the policemen, they were eventually arrested and driving down to the Area F Police station.

Everybody left for the F Division and while there the landlord tabled his reservations and also complained about the fact that the tenant was owing rent of over two and a half years with accumulated electricity bill running to over N200,000, which had led to Power Company disconnecting the power supply to the building.
He said, despite several unfulfilled promises to pay up.

The tenant, Saheed Ogundokun, signed an undertaking with the police, to pay up the rents and vacate the property by the end of the month of July.

It was curiously surprising however, when concocted stories later began to fly around’ towards the end of the month of July, the same time, he had signed an undertaken with the police at Area F Police station, to pays up and vacate the property.

A resident of the area, who pleaded anonymity said it was worrisome that anybody could paint the lawmakers in a bad light. ‘It will be immoral for them to exchange blows with someone owing tenancy rent since fight would not pay the said rents. I know they cannot be involved in such.

It was stated in the fabricated story published by an online medium that the lawmakers were accompanied by their security orderlies, but everybody in Kwara knows that only the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker have security men attached to them, so the issue of the lawmakers going with orderlies was a mere conjecture as thenonky security men at the scene were those invited by the lawmakers from Area F, to effect the arrest of the men illegally occupying the property.

A resident said, "I was told they only invited police officers from the F Division to get the guys arrested for questioning it will certainly be unreasonable and impossible for the lawmakers to start beating them when the policemen had arrived to pick them up", he said.
37  Forum / Business / Looking to Start Your Own Restaurant Business? Here's What You Should Know First on: 25-07-2019 03:30 PM

Running a restaurant can be fun and glamorous, not forgetting that it allows you the opportunity to meet and establish lasting connections with literally all kinds of people. It is also an opportunity to exercise the best of your courtesy and humility, which feels more than satisfying to the spirit. However, running a food business is no walk in the park. It requires a great deal of commitment, lots of planning, a solid preparation, and the willingness to work many hours to serve and meet the needs of your customers.

From the cooking bit to bookkeeping, advertising, and PR, it’s your responsibility as the owner to ensure that all departments are running smoothly, even when you have staff employed for those tasks. Whether you’re a seasoned chef looking to share your secret killer recipes with the world or you’re just an entrepreneur with a keen interest in the food business, the following pointers will do you good.

Here are some things you should know if you’re looking to start your own restaurant business.

Your Restaurant Concept Matters

In layman’s terms, your restaurant concept is simply the type of restaurant you will be running. In this case, you can choose to open your own food shop in an area or atmosphere that you feel comfortable in, serving the delicacies you like preparing. The second option is franchising, where you open your restaurant as a franchise of a major brand. While the second option is beneficial when it comes to branding and marketing, you’ll most likely be required to adhere to a certain set of rules. For instance, the brand owner may dictate the menu offered, operating hours, and the level of service, among other things. Additionally, restaurant franchises tend to be a bit expensive to start up.

Location is Paramount

Just like it is with just about any other kind of business, starting a restaurant of your own can be a huge burst if you fail to pick a perfect location. The success of your food venture will largely rely on the location you pick. Even what you serve on the menu will largely depend on the location you pick and the kind of prospective customers there. While trying to pick the perfect spot, you will need to do some thorough research on what other nearby restaurants are offering and whether or not they’ve been successful so far. Also, the aspect of rent/owning the location should also be in the picture. The location will also guide you into knowing the kinds of permits and licenses you need, as local authorities in different areas may have different requirements.

Impression Does Matter

Even as you seek to create a business plan and organize finances for starting your own restaurant, it is highly important to note that impressions do matter when it comes to the food industry. Anything from interior design to lighting and how your dining furniture is organized and dressed, will go a long way in winning or losing you customers. Macy Hooper from VegaDirect.ca says that the lighting and decor of a restaurant are important parts of the dining experience. Remember, in the food business, the best way to win customers and keep them coming back is to give them a comfortable, homely feeling that they perhaps haven’t experienced before.  You will want your décor, lighting, furniture, and the entire dining space to be on point, neatly organized and stunning enough to create just that experience.

Financials

There are many people out there who like you, are dearly dreading to open up their own restaurants. However, financing tends to be a huge barrier between them and achieving their big dream. When planning your finances, it is important to make sure that you have enough capital to start the business and keep it on its feet long enough until it starts generating a substantial amount of profits. Carefully think about all the logistics, including equipment, supplies, rent, furnishing, and everything else that you need and plan a solid budget based on that.

In many areas, financing options for those who want to start a new restaurant business are available, so take your time to do some research to improve the chances that your venture will succeed. It may also involve making sales projects, benchmarking, and trying to figure out the amount of money you’ll expect to do to stay profitable. While at it, remember that restaurants are not in any way, a get-rich-quick solution. It will require some patience and perseverance before your food venture starts paying you back handsomely.

Think Technology

The food business in the world of today is a highly competitive arena. To get the most out of your venture and stay strong in business, you’ll need to learn to embrace technology. For this reason, you’ll need to also do some research on some of the technological solutions you will need. These could include ordering systems, inventory tracking software, payroll and accounting systems, and financial management systems, just to name a few. You may also need to provide things such as free Wi-Fi to your customers as a way of advertising your new business. The kinds of technology solutions you can use in a restaurant are endless.

Advertising is Crucial

Advertising is another very crucial aspect that any aspiring restaurateur should carry heavily. When newly opened, you will need a solid advertising strategy to get your target customers in the door and ordering. Once you’ve picked a target audience, it is then that you can harness the power of various channels of advertising, including modern approaches such as internet marketing and social media advertising. Also, there are dozens of restaurant marketing ideas on the internet, and these will come in handy in helping you market your new venture so that it reaches out to as many people as possible. However, it is imperative to note that the ideal advertising approach for you will depend on your budget.

Have a Secret Sauce

One killer secret that some of the most successful brands in the food industry use so as to remain competitive and stay in business is having a secret recipe, menu, or formula. In a nutshell, this all amounts to uniqueness. Before setting up shop, it’s important to do your homework and find out what it is that you can offer to your target customers, which will be unique and one of a kind. Sometimes you don’t even have to go out of your way trying to discover a secret recipe that no one has ever tried or heard of. Simply getting creative with your menu and meal combinations that you offer could do the trick. Having a secret sauce will help you stand out from the rest of the crowd.

In summary, starting up a new restaurant can be a hectic affair. There’s a lot to plan, research, and do… it can get frustrating. This aside, running the business can even be more emotionally, physically, and financially draining. With the above pointers, however, your efforts can be more rewarding and the success of your new restaurant business will be more assured.

Tunisia’s 92-year-old president, Beji Caid Essebsi, has died, the presidency said in a statement on Thursday. Hafedh Caid Essebsi the president's son said that Essebsi was hospitalized on Wednesday after he suffered the effects of last month's crisis, confirming an earlier report on local radio.
