This case raises a lot of issues for the Bank, customers and
the general public.
The bank, Diamond Bank, Plc has a lot of damage control to do.
People will not trust that bank as a place where their money will
be safe. Diamond Bank must examine it's security systems and
control. The bank has to reassure the public and customers that
their money is safe.

If I was a customer, the first thing I will do is to remove my
money from that bank. People put their money in the bank
because they think it would be safe. If a staff is able to steal
N125 million, that does not give customer confidence that their
money is safe with that bank.

Ms. Marilyn-Joan Obiora must face the the consequence and a
very stiff penalty for breaking the trust the bank placed on her.
She needs to go to prison for a very long time and to refund the
stolen money. Reason is that a severe sentence may discourage
others fron doing the same thing.
