A German News has it today that Saudi Arabia has ordered over 800 Amoured Fighting/Shelling Tankers from Germany. Human Rights group had criticized the German Conservative Ruling Government (Christian Democratic Union Party) that against whom is the Amoured Shelling Tanker Vehicles for? For sure against human beings, and found it unfair and immoral for the governemtn to accept such offer, but the German government is unrepentant.
Brothers, we Nigerians have reasons and concerns to think alongside the human rights criticisms. Against whom is the Islamic country, Saudi Arabia buying it for or for whom? The country has no war with any country. A FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

Just to clarify - the Saudis were buying 300 tanks, but raised the buy to 600-800.

And just so you know, Saudi Arabia currently has over 1,000 tanks in its Army - 765 American and 290 French. Did anyone raise issues when they were building that arsenal?

they are buying for this idle us government. their country is so peaceful to the extent that they dont care abt national security anymore; they are busy swallowing paracetamol for another country's headache. innocent young soldiers will go to other countries and die dere and what are they fighting for? they are fighting agaisnt terrorism in OTHER countries leaving their own . i support suadi, even irag and Afghanistan should be buying cuz all us army do now is to pokenose into oder countries affair as if theirs if perfect. talking abt terrorism, nigeria is a disgrace in handling terrorists. imagine a terrorist group living in the SAME country they are terrorizing and the govt cant even find them out? Oops i forgot the the leader of naija is out of senses. countries like russia and irag are building atomic bombs for national security meanwhile, my president is inventing brand new cassava bread for fellow nigerians to eat. that sums everything up doesnt it?

There's nothing wrong with the Saudis buying fighting tanks to beef up their arsenal, if for no other reason, at least to counter balance Iran who has a formidable arsenal of it's own, these days the Iranians are meddling in the affairs of the Arab nations of the middle east trying to establish a foot-hold in Saudi arabia's traditional sphere of influence, The Saudis would not want this to happen so they'll need lots of firepower as a deterrent to Iranian military posturing and also as a means of enforcing their political will in the region. !!!
