Her weak sense of (Nigerian and global) history may be responsible for her conclusion that UNILAG students should not protest the name-change, but should rather concentrate on protesting Boko Haram attacks, corruption, electricity problems and other related issues. For her information, UNILAG students have always championed war against oppression and government brutality in Nigeria. They were active in the fight against the annulment of June 12, the questionable death of Abiola and other issues. I am sure she knows that "injustice in one place could be injustice in other areas"!

u are d first person making sense here. white girl i'm not goin to insult u but i'm gonna tell u dis. u don,t even knw a tenth of wat is goin on in dis country. this poor students don't ave a say in anything abt national matters, most of them don't even ave hope for d future. they kept to themselves and didn't look for trouble. d president instead looked for their trouble by changing d name of their institution which is d only thing they are proud of. atleast give them a chance to hold on to something good in their lives for once. like u said, no one came out to protest things lyk boko haram, plane crash etc. i must state dat u really don't ave a right to comment on this issue cos u ave not researched well enough. taking to d streets is not d only way ppl protest ok? so cos they don't come out on d streets every other time when something occurs doesn't mean they are happy about it. and white girl, for d love of Christ, u don't knw wat it means to suffer in d hands of damn gods, then d british, then d government so don't talk as if it is dat easy. before i leave, i want to give u a clear warning: don't u ever in ur pale miserable life call my people "fcuking idiots" again. u can comment wateva u lyk but don't tink u ave a right to insult nigerians cos we are black nd u are white ok?................*drops mic*
With the way you are sounding now; tell me what differentiates you from an Idiot the white girl labeled Nigerians to be? Yes Nigerians are more worst than Idiots and as I see it, you are an example of it. Nonsense

She is absolutely right,i felt the same way too. I decided to join this site so i could interact with Nigerians- I noticed Nigerians are less exposed to reality. They take pride in defending bad leaders,it hard for them to realize the truth.

Electricity can never be out in England, the power station stand the risk of paying a huge fine if they dare attempt to do so. In Nigeria its a normal thing. Nigerians have given their powers to religious leaders 'MY PASTOR SAY BLAH BLAH BLAH" You guys are a huge joke!

Way forward is to come out in your millions and phyuking protest! Obama the United State president is always criticized and always under a lot of pressure- that is the way it should be.   You people worship you pastors and leaders- that is phyuking wrong!

You can curse me if you like- the truth needs to be said. And phyuk you if you think otherwise

I am a patriotic Nigerian, but scenarios like these are nothing but embarrassing at the least, especially when a foreigner speaks so much truth and it hurts so deep, Naija people have fallen my hand, Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba all of you are disappointments!

Please try reading what you wrote before posting it. It doesn't seem you understood what the pretty, honest white sister said. You seem to forget that what you are presently living is not life. Imagine not have water, good roads and electricity. Doesn't it bother you?  Did you go to school at all?  You probably did i am sure- but no evidence, otherwise you would have understood what she said.MUPPET Angry Angry Angry Angry

she is more than right, this is the problem we nigerians have,we dont take advice before and after our action.even when the advice is right we just say it in our mind that the person is right but never admit.and been shire to turn back from the nagative actions we have started.because we dont want to be laughted at.come to think of it good water, good roads, electricity, sacked workers getting back their jobs, graduates geting jobs too,all this things she menshioned and changing of school name which one is realy more important and which one will come last if u are asked to classity them.

this is one thing i hate on this site, people dosen,t read what the story or discussion is all about, all they do is just reading the head line, comments from other people and copy from the comment from the first person.just take a look at the comments from the first till the firft all are just coping words from each other.it dosen,t mean thet when the first person to comment dosen,t agree with the white girl and she passes insult on her every body must do so.read the story carefuly, think about it,feel it and comment from you own view.
