Quote from: kamuski on 23-11-2009 11:37 AM ok, its tru dt thou shall not kill.....but my sister, those holy books are guiding principles that the almighty that created us gave us, and honestly when you look at it critically its the best. not just to look at it on the surface bcos of human rights and the rest. the gravity of adultery is really serious, even is he is not killed the ill feelings it will generate in the society is enormous. pple abuse other humans innocently this days tru rituals, armd robbery, slavery, rape etc you cannot just sit down and say u cannot judge. that is why God gave us leaders, and he equally sent prophets to guide us and warn us. Thou shall not kill yes i agree with you, but thats pple dt indulge in armd robbery, sheer envy, witchcraft etc. I will prefer if we could chat on yahoo msgr it will be faster. Pls let us face facts, today if pple are allowd to do what ever they feel like and live everything to God nobody can walk the streets freely. hav u ever experienced a situation of lawlessness? am sure it will change ur perpectiv about things. thank you i am on yahoo messenger [email protected] so add me since u say u have een dat shall not kill in the holy book

the Sharia law regarding adultery states that if pple are caught, there must be at least 4 pple of unblemished record that must testify in the court that they saw them commitin it before they can be stoned. and if its the husband or the wife that catches the other commiting it (there is only 1 witness}, then she/he must swear 4 times by the holy quran and the 5th time envoke Allahs wrath on himself/herself if he/she is is not telling the truth. And if the other party denies that the other is lyin against her/him then he will swear the same way. and if such happend, non of them will be stoned will be stoned but they will be separated and seize to become husband and wife for the rest of their lives. Quote from: sarkinrafi on 10-12-2009 11:35 AM I am a Muslim but would use Bible to reply some of the observations made. 1. Jesus said "if you love me, keep my commandments" John 14:15 2. "Who so ever shall break one of these least commandments........."Mat 5:19 3. "you knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery........:Luke18:20 4. "you shall not commit adultery........." "A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD, even to their tenth generation......"Deute 23:2 this is the only thing wrong in your arrangement you started with new and end with old, if you arrange it the other way it could hv make meaning to you, LASTLY without the Holy Spirit you can not use the Bible (it is not an ordinary book). Thank You.

Firstly, It may never make any sense to you! secondly, If you have the Holy Spirit; You'll know how to arrange quotations from the Bible. Furthermore, 2 Cor 3:6 says ".... but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." without the holy spirit you can not use the Bible bcaz its the Holy Spirit who can only interprets and show you how to apply it to every situation of life.

Quote from: kamuski on 8-11-2009 01:00 PM I am not aware of any religion that approves adultery, yet the only religion that addresses it is Islam. The punishment of stonening to death of any guilty of it is still the best if only we can see it reasonably. Bcos in the real sense..... wot abt this..[/i][/b]1. nobody likes public disgrace, as such that punishment will make man to distant himself from it. 2. even if he must commit it, it will not be publicly or freely, infact i am not aware of any rule that allows even married which is what Islam tries to address.. so that others will not be influenced. 3. By takin that punishment, you have been washd off that sin on earth which is better than the punishment in the hereafter (Allah knws best). 4. It will make parents pay attenttion to what their kids do. They will encourage them to get married earlier etc But in our society today, due to freedom we all preach, girls walk d streets naked, strip dancing clubs are there, gays are seen kissin each other openly, dad could pregnant his daughter etc But on the streets of lagos today, we hv seen pple rushing to contribute tyres to burn a thief by just shoutin OLE!...but nobody has spoken against that....infact its seen as an appropriate act. But of of these thieveson the streets are products of these adultery we all clamour for. ![]() . My fellow Nigerians, I understand how you feel about Islam but the Quran and Mohammed (SAW) did not in any way mentioned that an adulterer be stoned to death. Instead should be flog just like beating ur kid for doing bad things. Adultry is specifically mentioned in two occassion in the holly Quran. Quran 17 Verse 32: Nor come nigh to adultery For it is a shameful (deed) And an evil, opening the road (To other evils) and Quran 24 Verse 2:The woman and the man Guilty of fornication Flog each of them With a hundred stripes And let a party of believers Witness their punishment The Quran Preaches Peace and Love but not the other way round.

@ mazi .....The Sharia Law which is the islamic law is very clear, and the conditions to be met are cleear too, try and find out. Adultery is for someone that is married. And the punishment of flogging is for pple that are not married. Reply

@ sasod.......if u cant explain to me and you are telling me i cant read and understand it on my own....then the very essence of havin the book is defeated. Reply
