Tai Solarin University of Education,(The Premier University of Education) Ijagun has won the 2007/2008 Africa's Most Outstanding University of Education award

The All Africa Students Union (AASU), a continental representative organisation of all students of African origin both in the continent and in diaspora, in a letter signed by the Union's Executive Secretary, Mr. Oludare Ogunlana and Mr. Ben Larbi, the speaker of AASU Congress noted that TASUED has distinguished itself and that it was the first time any tertiary institution in Nigeria would win such an award.
