A 50-year-old man, Abdullahi Sani has been arrested by police for allegedly molesting a three-year -old girl to death in Katsina State. According to the Spokesperson for the State Police Command, DSP Gambo Isah, who confirmed the development on Monday, stated that the suspect lured the child to an uncompleted building and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
The child was rushed to Funtua General hospital where she died the following day. Sani was arrested on October 12 and was said to have confessed to the crime.

“Katsina state Command wishes to inform the general public that on 12 /10 /2017 at about 15 :00 hrs, it has succeeded and arrested one Abdullahi Sani alias MAI ’AYA aged 50 yrs ‘m ’ of Jabiri area , Funtua LGA of Katsina state who raped a 3 yrs old Umma Ibrahim of the same address”

She was rushed to Funtua General Hospital and later died on 13 /10 /2017 at about 10 :30 hrs due to the injuries she sustained as a result of the rape. Suspect confessed to the crime while investigation is still ongoing into the case”
