Following President Muhammadu Buhari‘s comment that a lot of Nigerian youths want to sit at home and do nothing, Nigerians on social media are trending #LazyNigerianYouths.

The president had made the comment at the ongoing Commonwealth Head of Governments Meeting (CHOGM) in the UK.

Nigerian youth, to assert their resilience and resourcefulness, are listing their qualifications and hustles with the hashtag.

From nurses who also work as fashion designers, to people who studied Geology but work as graphic designers, here are a few #LazyNigerianYouths:

This is what you get from a government with nothing to offer. They keep on shifting blame. First it was empty treasury inherited from previous government as a reason for their lack of performance. Now it is lazy youths that Nigeria have. Oga presido, Dia-ris-God oooohhhhhh.

There has been an avalanche of response from Nigerian youths on Social Media against   Buhari's purported statement that Nigeria youths are lazy and want everything free
Let's not forget that about a year or two ago in London, Buhari called Nigeria Youths Criminally minded.
I listened to the Video several times so I can make informed decision. It is challenging for me to decipher his true intention apropos of the way be expressed it
However, it is becoming increasingly indisputable that Buhari has not respect for Nigeria youths. He looks at them as lazy folks with criminal propensities running around the country aimlessly
