Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles, Lars Lagerback, bluntly turned down request by Victor Moses to be quaranteed an automatic shirt in the World Cup-bound team led to dropping of the Wigan FC’s star
A member of Lagerback's back room staff told Daily Sunsport that Moses told the coach that the only way he would agree to play for the Super Eagles was to be assured of a place in the World Cup-bound team without going through the rigours of screening and playing friendly matches
But Lagerback, it was gathered called his bluff by telling him that he just have to compete for a place in the team as there are better talented players in his team.
“Lagerback has made it clear to all the players that there is no automatic shirt in the new Super Eagles. Every body must prove himself to go the World Cup. Moses cannot claim to be better than the other 44 invited players, so he was dropped
“Onuoha also made the same request to play for his country but Lagerback made it clear to him that no player is greater than his country and told him to forget about going to World Cup if he could not come to prove himself” our source said
Meanwhile, Lagerback would submit his 30-man provisional list to the NFF today in Abuja for onward submission to FIFA before May 12 deadline.

who is he to name himself as the most talented player, impossible. he is so proud and we do not need a proud and rude player in our new supper eagles. Nice ideal from Lagerback for dropping him behind. His character has shown that he is nothing but a stupid player.
