Wearing of waist beads is more a tradition & less of a fashion in Africa.
But there`re more ladies in Europe today, who wear waist beads than in Africa and there, it`s purely fashion. Some say, it`s sexy. In countries like Italy, Germany, (Turkey), Spain, Vietnam, China & even in the US, wearing of waist beads is becoming more and more popular.

My friend wears it when she`s having on short top & mini skirt or half-cut-trousers and believe me, it looks sweet on her.

if black girl or black man do somtin una go say na juju, but if white man wear it una go say na fashion...... Beads is part of african culture....  i have seen some girls from cuba and other south american countries that wear beads!!! if u like it do it,no be juju

You are right Betty, waist beads are traditional wear in Africa.
Women all over the world copied it and it became fashionable.
Remember hair braiding by African women? It is copied all over
 the world too.
And the caramel skin color some Africans have, like mine (dan fulani).
People overseas (UK & USA) go to the tanning salon to get my skin color.
