DSS Prints Memo In Response To Threat Of Explosive Attack On M.K.O Abiola Stadium

A memo alleging that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) planned an attack on MKO Abiola National Stadium during the second leg of Nigeria vs. Ghana World Cup qualifiers became public after the event.

The memo is dated March 29th, 2022, and is addressed to the Directorate of Road Traffic Services Abuja (DRTS) The sender is said to be the Director of Department of State Services (DSS) of the FCT Command, Alhaji Ado Muazu.

The document was first shared on Twitter by Nigerian investigative journalist David Hundeyin (here).

According to the researcher, the DSS had knowledge of an impending terror attack on the MKO stadium during the game and all they did was write a memo pinning it on IPOB.

Directorate of Road Traffic Services FCT. (DRTS), IMMINENT THREAT OF EXPLOSIVE ATTACK ON M.K.O ABIOLA NATIONAL STADIUM BY IPOB.

“Intelligence available to the Service indicate imminent attack on M.K.O Abiola National Stadium, Abuja by members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) using prime improvised explosive devices on 29. March, 2022.
The attack was hatched to target’ the return world cup qualifiers match between Nigeria and Ghana target aimed at causing maximum casualty and attention to the secessionist agenda of the dissident group and embarrassment to the Government, thereby drawing local and international attention to the secessionist agenda of the dissident group.
In view of the foregoing coupled with the planned attendance of President Muhammadu going (GCFR) and other important dignitaries to honour the national team, there is a need for adequate deployment of preventing, detecting, and neutralizing the threats. counter security measures before and during the slated match With a view to action, please. 3.
