Popular Nigerian rapper and actor, Ikechukwu Onunaku, has announced the end of his marriage to Brunella Oscar. The couple tied the knot in May 2021 in a lavish ceremony attended by prominent figures in the entertainment industry.
However, Ikechukwu revealed in a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze that their marriage has come to an end due to irreconcilable issues. He cited gaslighting, fault-finding, and the interference of third parties as contributing factors to the dissolution of their marriage.
The 40-year-old rapper also expressed feeling oppressed by his ex-wife and claimed that she consistently made him feel inferior.
This announcement marks the end of a chapter for Ikechukwu and Brunella, highlighting the challenges that can arise in relationships and marriages, even in the public eye.
He said,
“My wife and I are no longer together. We separated due to irreconcilable differences. It wasn’t over infidelity. There were too much gaslighting, too much looking for faults, and too much listening to outsiders.
“I tried to save our marriage but I got to a point where I couldn’t tolerate my ex-wife’s excesses anymore and I showed her my other side and we couldn’t bear it.”
