President Bola Tinubu departed Abuja on Saturday for Lagos to kick off a series of project inaugurations marking the first anniversary of his administration. This commissioning tour, starting on Sunday and running through Friday, will see the President unveiling key infrastructure projects across the country.

A State House press release titled “President Tinubu Set To Inaugurate Projects To Mark One Year In Office” and signed by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, detailed the President’s itinerary.

**Lagos: First Stop on the Commissioning Tour**
In Lagos, on Sunday, President Tinubu will inaugurate the newly concrete-paved roads leading to the nation’s major ports in Apapa and Tin Can Island. This significant project, which began under the Muhammadu Buhari administration, was funded by the Dangote Group through its tax credits.

Additionally, the President will virtually inaugurate the refurbished Third Mainland Bridge, praised for its excellent finishing and aesthetic improvements. He will also commission the rehabilitation of 330 roads and bridges nationwide, symbolizing a major infrastructural uplift.

The highlight of the day will be the inauguration of the Lagos-Calabar Superhighway, a monumental project estimated at N15 trillion. This highway will connect nine coastal states, with the second section already awarded to Hitech Construction Limited.

**Return to Abuja for More Inaugurations**
On Tuesday, President Tinubu will return to Abuja to continue the commissioning spree. He will start by inaugurating the Southern Parkway, which the Nyesom Wike-led FCT Administration has named after him.

Wednesday's agenda includes attending the National Assembly Dialogue Series and unveiling the new National Assembly Library Complex, which also bears his name. On the same day, the President will relaunch the Abuja Metro (Abuja Light Rail) project, which was initially completed in 2018 but fell out of use during the COVID-19 pandemic. After substantial refurbishment, the service is set to resume, providing vital transportation within the city.

Following the relaunch, President Tinubu will inaugurate the Wuye Flyover-Link Bridge and the new Defence Intelligence Agency Headquarters.

**Final Leg of the Tour: Inaugurating a Gas Centre**
The tour will conclude on Friday, May 31, with the commissioning of the NASENI-Portland Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Reverse Engineering Centre in Utako.

This comprehensive week of inaugurations highlights the administration’s commitment to improving Nigeria’s infrastructure and marks a significant milestone in President Tinubu’s first year in office.
