
In a swift operation based on credible intelligence, officers from the FCT Police Command apprehended six notorious armed robbery suspects at Utako divisional headquarters. The suspects, identified as Abubakar Adams, Ismail Salisu, Yusuf Bello, Nasiru Saidi, Sani Usman, and Ibrahim Kasa, were apprehended for their involvement in a series of robberies targeting unsuspecting residents.
The suspects' modus operandi involved posing as taxi or tricycle drivers, luring passengers, and then robbing them of their valuables before pushing them off while the vehicle was still in motion. Numerous victims reported losing mobile phones, money, gadgets, and other personal belongings to these criminal acts.
Confirming the arrest, SP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, stated that the operation followed multiple complaints from victims. "The suspects have confessed to their involvement in these criminal activities," Adeh added.
During the arrest, law enforcement recovered light weapons such as cutlasses, knives, and a mobile phone believed to have been stolen from one of the victims. Adeh emphasized that investigations are ongoing to unravel further details and apprehend any accomplices linked to the gang.
