Adekunle, the Big Brother Naija reality star, has publicly acknowledged the end of his relationship with fellow housemate Venita Akpofure, putting an official end to speculations about their status since their stint in the All Stars edition of the reality show last year.
In an exclusive interview with YouTuber Olufemi Daniel, Adekunle candidly addressed the status of their relationship, stating, "I would like to think that we were in a relationship in the Big Brother’s house. I wouldn’t want to use the word love. It’s too strong for that scenario. But what we had was more than an understanding. I think when we were in the House together, it was a real thing."
Adekunle further revealed that discussions about their relationship took place after leaving the Big Brother house, but out of respect for Venita and the privacy of their conversations, he refrained from divulging specifics. "We had a conversation outside the House. It was a conversation and it was an understanding but the end result was not what was anticipated," he disclosed.
Regarding their current status, Adekunle clarified, "I don’t talk to her anymore because we don’t have a relationship. We don’t communicate, we don’t speak [with each other]. A lot of bad things happened, that’s why I’m not going to share them here out of respect for her."
The confirmation comes amid ongoing speculation about the duo's relationship status, which had been a topic of interest among fans and followers of the reality show stars.
