Joe Igbokwe, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has voiced strong concerns over the rising cost of electricity tariffs, warning that it could devastate businesses across the country if left unchecked.
In an open letter to President Bola Tinubu, shared via his Facebook page, Igbokwe expressed frustration over the current situation, citing a personal experience where he spent ₦20,000 on electricity units, which were exhausted the same day of purchase.
Igbokwe urged President Tinubu's administration to urgently address the issue, stressing that the skyrocketing tariffs are unsustainable for both households and businesses. He warned that the unchecked rates could cripple Nigeria's struggling economy by significantly raising operational costs for businesses.
