Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested in New York City on September 16, 2024, by federal agents from Homeland Security Investigations.
The arrest came after a federal grand jury in Manhattan returned an indictment against him, although the specific charges remain sealed.
This follows raids conducted in March 2024 at his Los Angeles and Miami properties as part of a sex trafficking investigation. Electronic devices were reportedly seized during those searches.
Combs has been under scrutiny due to multiple lawsuits, including one from his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, and at least ten others accusing him of segxwal misconduct, including rape and trafficking. Diddy has denied all allegations.
His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, called the arrest an "unjust prosecution," emphasizing that Combs has cooperated fully with the investigation and relocated to New York in anticipation of the charges.
The musician has faced a series of allegations from segxwal assault to abuse, including by his ex-partner Casandra “Cassie” Ventura. He has denied all the claims against him.
His arrest was made in connection with an ongoing investigation by US homeland security officials, multiple law enforcement sources told CBS.
US Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams confirmed the arrest in a statement on Monday night.
