i guess its time we also learn from what happened in Egypt.. Its Not Just duration...it should also be about performance....Enough is enough...too much talking by every one in Political office..even Local government chairmen are saying they would provide good education, house for all, light 24hrs and food would be cheap.....i just tire.....But come to think of it...why are those prominent people we look up to change things opening new parties rather than join the PDP and get rid of the bad eggs there. instead of sitting on the corner i think they should get into the center stage and educate them rather than complicate issues by registering new parties. do we have to wait for the new parties to have a stay maybe in 20 years time? Stop preaching tribalism or sectionalism. Majority of the states in the North voted for him in the primary. While Nigerians are trying to come together and build a modern country without prejudice or tribalism there you are fanning the embers of tribalism. Wise up!

Quote from: nametalkam on 23-02-2011 08:53 PM OWERRI— President Goodluck Jonathan, has promised to build a Nigeria where everywhere will be home for every Nigerian citizen, irrespective of tribe, religion or state of origin if he was voted into power during April elections. Dr. Jonathan, who made the promise in Owerri while flagging off the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, campaign in Imo State, also warned that there would be unimaginable crisis if youths were not adequately provided for in the next 10 years. “We stand for the unity of this country. We are going to run a government where we will not discriminate against anybody, irrespective of your tongue, religion, nationality or your place of birth,” Jonathan said. He also expressed hope that his administration would create a Nigeria where every citizen will have equal rights and justice, stressing that the issue of marginalization would be removed in the country. “We hope to work with you to recreate the consciousness and awareness that any son or daughter of Nigeria, from Owerri to Enugu, Ibadan, Katsina or Maiduguri, will have equal rights in Nigeria. You will get whatever you deserve, whatever you are qualified to get and nobody will discriminate against you. That is our aspiration. That is our commitment,” the President said. He also disclosed that the federal government had a number of infrastructural development projects going on in Imo State, adding that government would continue with it until the entire nation was transformed. “We have a nation of about 150 million. Seventy percent of this figure are people under the age of 30 and 50 percent of them are very young people, under the age of 19. So, we must prepare for this coming generation of youths, otherwise in the next 10 years, we will have crisis on our hands,” Jonathan said. It was the considered view of the President that “to do this, the nation must industrialize and we must encourage commercial agriculture, and that is why we are emphasizing on power generation.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/02/jonathan-promises-to-rid-nigeria-of-tribalism/ "God Fearing, Principle And Upright Military Establishment Is The Only Option To Enforce Sanity, Security And Discipline In An Ailing Society" -CJ, 2011

Quote from: jayeolamao on 24-02-2011 10:38 AM fellow nigerians it is an unconpromising fact that we are angry with the way our leaders have been presiding on us in this country.l want to belive that the agony and pain been bestowed upon us by our leaders is just too much.infact one thing that concerns me alot is the monthly take home of our so-called legislators[seventeen million 4god sake.just too much].and for over six months, they ave been dragging the issue of 18,500 minimum wages.this is absolutely crazy.my dad use to say;WE NOW LIVE IN COUNTRY WHERE PEOPLE NO MORE LOOK INTO THE FUTURE FOR HOPE BUT RATHER LOOK BACK TO THOSE DAYS OF CONTENTMENT THAT WERE MISSED.nevertheless, lets hold on to our faith that one day a powerful change we come upon this country.LETS GIVE GOODLUCK JONATHAN A CHANCE.he might be the long awaited massiah.thanks "God Fearing, Principle And Upright Military Establishment Is The Only Option To Enforce Sanity, Security And Discipline In An Ailing Society" -CJ, 2011

Quote from: ezeudonze on 26-02-2011 05:57 PM We have a nation of about 150 million. Seventy percent of this figure are people under the age of 30 and 50 percent of them are very young people, under the age of 19". I want to ask' if these information about seventy percent are correct them, where are to stand up and take over power. for years now our youths are suffering eating from hand to mouth and, the so-called goverment of the people by the people and for the people are watching us dieing like chickens' i bet you all, the 60% of our resources suposed to be using in giving the youth life a deffinition in the society just like every other rich countries does. Only a group of people are sqaundering the nations funds' so bad my dear people of Nigeria. A nation whereby a president is only concern about his re-election into power and' likewise every other government officials, at this age Nigerian has no steady electic light, no water in every houses, no good roads, no expansion or reconstruction of schools. There is no oil producing country without REFINERIES, but God knows just like we all knows' there is no REFINERY'' right here in our dear country Nigeria. And so therefore our government are only minding their own family affair' buying houses outside the country and' building refineries in other countries. May God help us and give us mind to stand out and say no to bad leaders. President Goodluck Jonathan i wish you all the best and' if you are a God fearing person, believe me you are going to deliver and' God will stand with you. God bless Nigeria.
