Davido recently shared his perspective on the growing interest among African Americans in relocating to Africa during an appearance on The Big Homies House podcast.
The Afrobeats star expressed skepticism about this trend, pointing out the significant challenges currently facing the continent, especially in his home country, Nigeria.
When asked by host Big Homie Kodaq about the idea of African Americans returning to the motherland, Davido replied candidly, "Leave America and go where?"
He elaborated by highlighting the economic struggles and systemic issues plaguing many African countries.
Drawing from his own experience of being raised in Nigeria after being born in Atlanta, Georgia, Davido emphasized the stark realities, saying, "It’s not cool back home… The economy now is in shambles."
