Former Big Brother Naija housemate Queen Atang has voiced her anger over the barrage of unpleasant comments she receives online, attributing it to the pitfalls of fame.
The reality TV star and mother of one took to her Instagram page to share a particularly demeaning comment directed at her.
A social media user had questioned the whereabouts of her husband while accusing Queen of throwing shade online.
In her reaction, Queen firmly denied the claim, stating that she could not recall engaging in any form of online shade-throwing. She lamented the harshness of online spaces, highlighting her tendency to ignore negative remarks rather than defend herself.
“On this internet, I’ve read so much about myself. All I can say is this space is vile. I can’t even recall throwing a shade at anyone. I mind my business and hustle. I don’t even defend myself on this space, no matter how bad,” she wrote.
Queen acknowledged the support from her fans, expressing gratitude for the love and positive messages she receives in her direct messages. However, she also admitted that fame has brought unexpected challenges, leaving her to question the persona people perceive online.
“All I’ve always prayed for is to be famous and rich. Fame I have. Money I’m hustling to get. But it may seem as though the fame is landing me in trouble here and there. God help me,” she concluded.
