*A man’s holiday trip to Ghana turned into a nightmare after a casual encounter led to the tragic death of his dogs, allegedly from poisoned food given by a woman he briefly dated.*
Sharing his ordeal on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the man recounted how what began as a flirtatious encounter with a woman named Kiki at Labadi Beach spiraled into a series of unsettling events.
According to his post, he traveled to Ghana in December 2019 to spend Christmas with friends and reconnect with loved ones. While strolling at the beach, he met Kiki, whom he described as charming and friendly. After exchanging contacts, she offered him a ride home.
The evening escalated when Kiki insisted on being invited into his house. A casual drink turned into a one-night stand, which the man later regretted. However, Kiki’s behavior after their encounter quickly raised red flags.
The following day, Kiki professed her love for him, which he found unsettling given how little time they had spent together. Things worsened when an unknown man, claiming to be Kiki’s boyfriend, called him, angrily demanding answers. Kiki later showed up at his house in tears, alleging her boyfriend had beaten her and taken back her car.
Despite her pleas, the man refused to let her in, determined to distance himself from the drama. However, Kiki persisted, sending him messages and making unexpected visits.
The situation took a sinister turn when Kiki appeared at his gate a week later, bearing food and whisky as a peace offering. Reluctantly, he accepted the items but refused her entry. To his horror, the food he gave to his dogs caused them to fall severely ill within an hour, foaming at the mouth. A frantic trip to the vet confirmed the dogs had died from poisoning.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, the man immediately booked an earlier flight and left Ghana, vowing to avoid similar reckless encounters in the future.
Reflecting on the ordeal, he warned others to exercise caution in relationships and avoid compromising situations with strangers. The post, which has since gone viral, sparked widespread reactions online, with many expressing sympathy and others emphasizing the importance of personal safety.
