VIDEO: Benue Police Raid Hideouts, Arrest Some Killer Fulani Herdsmen in Otukpo

Some suspected Fulani herdsmen were arrested in Otukpo by the Benue State Police Command on Friday, April 25, 2025.

Otukpo and surrounding areas have experienced a series of violent incidents involving suspected armed herders in recent months.​


Recal in early April 2025, a Benue Links bus traveling from Makurdi to Otukpo was ambushed near the Otukpo Burnt Bricks area. The attack resulted in the deaths of the driver and a passenger, while 13 others were abducted by the assailants. The management of Benue Links confirmed the incident and stated that efforts were underway to rescue the kidnapped passengers. ​
