An unidentified man also lost his life in the early morning accident involving three trailers and two commercial buses.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the vehicles were allegedly coming from Iyana-Ipaja, towards Abule-Egba, an outskirt of Lagos, when a MAN Diesel articulated vehicle, stationed at the Amo-Oil petrol station, with registration number Lagos XX-953-AKD, made a sudden detour on the road.
It was further learnt tat one of the articulated vehicles loaded with Dangote Flour, with registration number Oyo AE 131-LUY, coming from Iyana-Ipaja, in a bid to avoid collision with the MAN articulated vehicle, ran off the road and hit a Guinness lorry, parked on the road.
Further checks revealed that two commercial buses and a freightliner truck, laden with cement, also ran into one another in the process, leading to the accident.
The head of operation of LASTMA at the Abule-Egba axis of the state, Mr A. Fatai, said the accident was unfortunate.
