Exactly, people like W. Soyinka should have thought about Nigerian leadership before they got too old to run for the office. The ethnicity and tribalism problems in Nigeria are so deep-rooted that our renowned authors would opt to waste more scarce resources to elect fresh hands. Prior to election eve, W. Soyinka would have been feeding the country with solutions to dealing with our economic problems. All of a sudden, he is out here campaigning for Ribadu because the later is a Yoruba decent. W. Soyinka and Chinua Achebe should have used their writing prowess to champion the change we all need in Nigerian long time before election times. Wherefore they did not do so, let them now hold their peace.
