the issue of police and army fight every day in nigeria is now a big pain in the ass...for crying out loud why wont the police and soldier come into agreement of peace? for the soldier who refuse arrest does he think he is above the law by refusing arrest? why dont he peacefully show them is I D card if only he have any?

While two wrongs don't make a right, trigger-happy police men should be ashamed running for cover. When it comes to civilians, they show brutality unimaginable.

In naija, neither the police nor the army really know their job.  They only aid criminals. eg The infamous Dsp Iyamu of Anini time.

Nigerians are full of egos and what does it cost the officer to be that arrogant in floating the order of the policeman. They're both working for the security of the country and one cannot be superior over the other. If we were to look it better the police are the law enforcement agent and not vice versa which was in this case. Regardless of how the police behave we can't continue the same vicious cycle of taking laws into our hand. The Army/Navy/Airforce or whatever force they belong can't be superior to the law of the land. The police are the law enforcement agent as simple as that.[/b]Two wrongs can't make a right and when the chip finally falls it would be double jeopardy to either community because if due diligent and patience has been allowed all this clamoring and rancor could be minimized. All the comment made are just putting more fuel to the fire than see the real issue in this case.Nigerians are full of sentiments and inciting one against the other that much we know how to do very well.If you ever visit an advance countries Police are the major player while the soldiers or the force would arrested without any incident like you and I in the public domain. So who gave them the right to be doing as they wish in the public forum whatever they're is their barracks or on national duty for the country. Nigerians are putting too much stock on the soldiers because of the superior killing machine which made all to fear them. They're not any superior than you and I except the uniform they're wearing please.

NObody is dragging  weda dey are law enforcement or not buh soldiers cannot be treated like second class ppl or ordinary ppl in d street. Soldiers are very supperior coz dey lay dia lives down to kee dis country and to also bring honour to dis country under a working condition dat ppl like you will carry lacard to protest against. The loss of lives is unfortunate, nobody want dat and i think u shld check d constitution and see d role of d army. D army is superior 2 d pol.

Hello nigerians, where are we going?are the police force meant to keep the civil peace or to increase uprisings in the society?or are the army meant not to respect the order of the police even at the checking-point ? where is the respect of the nation? The revenged of the soldiers was ordered by their bosses yet the bosses and their boys refuse to agree that they are responsible for the death of their police counter-pacts .Where is the truth ?those(forces) who are asked to serve us cannot tell the innocent civilians the truth, then the road is still very far  for the country.bravo nigeria police force and nigeria  army for disturbing the peace of the helpless nigeria
