Two members of the military Special Task Force charged with maintaining peace in Jos were among 8 persons now being held by the police as suspected masterminds in the kidnap of Elder Michael Obi, father of Nigerian international football star John Mikel Obi, who was freed by the police in Kano on Monday.

They are criminals and should be treated as such. The funny part of it is that majority of them are Igbos, the same ethnic group with the old and they did not consider the age of the man, they went ahead to drug the man before taking him to Kano, they should face the consequences of their action. How I wish they carried out the kidnapping in states where it crime carrries death sentence, by now they must have been counting their days on earth. They should not be pitied.
