Do real friendship really developed from this site?

This site- Naijapals according to my understanding should provide an avenue where genuine, honest-hearted Nigerians looking to make friends are supposed to meet. Maybe I am nut, but my presumption on this site is that members tend to be selective in terms of the town you stay or what they assumed you to be before initiating contact. I have tried to make friends on this site but most of them- especially the male folks would never have the courtesy to even acknowledge my courtesy. Funny thing is nobody really know who somebody is except you get to know that somebody. So my question is: Is this site really fulfilling its function? you tell me

The best thing is for you to create your own site if you think you are perfect or more educated than others.

I dont like making friends online because almost 99% of  profiles that I visit are fake..

I won't say you're wrong, but most of the people here are already friends from another site or know each other personally. But i agree we should all get to know one another especially when we're all over the globe and this is the closest you can get to meet and know your own people. My intention on this site was to get accustomed to the Nigerian customs and learn pidgin because i didn't get the chance to do that while in naija. You can't force anyone to be friends with you because ppl come here with different things in mind, and plus sometimes the people that requested to be your friend sometimes turn on you so you can't really be opened to become everyone's friend like that. Just take your time and  true ppl will come. I have so many ppl as pals, but only few of them are really close because i know them very well........

And you have so many weirdos here too so u can never be too sure!

really depends on the kinda friendship u are talkn bout ... but yeah ... I've got really cool friends on here ... and I'm glad I met 'em ... e.g. ma twin !!

wateva,i dont think friendship is worth searching,but i dont know what you want,me im friendly n open,anyone that wants to be my friend its ok with me,but if u dont i wont force u,but i wish u luck in your search,only God knows what you are looking for,but i think this is the best place to be as a Nigerian,i hope u find your good heart Desire.
