I don't read or subscribe to the doctrines of bigots or proponents of bigotry. I don't have a disillusioned account of the war and i tell the truth as it is. Bitter or Sweet,I don't care!!! All i care is that people know the truth,also that people like you should tell the truth as it is. I'm not blaming OBJ or Adekunle.  I'm only telling the truth as it is for people like you who intend to lie and pass down tales that aren't true.I have read newspapers from that era,watched video tapes from the era,seen observers/nationalist account of the war as well as read books from players that were involved in the war.Aid workers where even killed for supplying aid to biafrans during the course of the war. The war also brought some good as well. If not for the war,the focal smallpox vaccine would not have been developed and adopted by WHO and the Doctors without borders would not have been formed. I have volunteered several times for the organisation and it has been saving lives since the end of the war.
All the old cargoes that caused or supported the war need to back off,if Nigeria is to move forward. I'm not blaming OBJ but if we were to measure the percentage of problems,he contributed to Nigeria statistically. I'm pretty much sure,it will be very High.
Even after he came back in a democratic dispensation, he ordered the dismissal of all soldiers tied to the biafran war and this happened 30 years after the war. Is that a sign of moving forward? I don't want to go into OBJ's rights and wrongs. As far as i know,his time serving the people is over and he has retired to his farm or wherever he is hibernating.
I believe, you should show patriotism for your country by defending it and not disintegrating it!!! It is people like you that make me wonder where your values lie!!! I have watch movie clips and documentary to know that it was not a war of equals and that the trigger was the ill-informed tribal coup that killed top people from both the North and West but owing to tribalism spared Ibos.
